Functional Movement
This movement practice is designed to help strengthen the body to move well in everyday situations. Every movement our bodies make requires complex coordination incorporating strength, flexibility, and balance. For example, sitting, squatting, reaching, bending, walking, going up and down stairs, getting up off the floor, and getting in and out of the car. This video will provide guidance in improving upon these daily movements. No equipment is needed except for a sturdy chair.
I am passionate about providing encouragement and curriculum in maintaining and improving the ease of daily activities to help you live your best life! As the body ages practicing these movements daily grows more and more vital to maintain independent movement and autonomy. The old saying is true if you do not use you; you loose it. My goal is to motivate everyone to live in harmony with their body until our work on this earth is complete. It makes me so joyful to see people in their 70s, 80s, and 90s getting out there challenging their bodies to to stay fit. It is all connected the mind, body, and spirit. Caring for our beautiful bodies will certainly provide energy and vitality to all aspects of wellbeing.
